12 Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits) (England) Regulations 2012 Baroness Hanham moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 17 July be approved. The motion was agreed to.

13 Benefit Cap (Housing Benefit) Regulations 2012 Lord Freud moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 16 July be approved. The motion was agreed to.

14 Financial Services Bill The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 25A. Amendments 25B, 25D and 26ZA were disagreed to (see division lists 1 to 3). The report stage was adjourned after amendment 27A.

15 BBC: resignation of Director General Viscount Younger of Leckie repeated as a ministerial statement the answer given to an Urgent Question in the House of Commons.

16 Higher education: reform A question was asked by Lord Wills and, after debate, answered by Baroness Garden of Frognal.

17 Financial Services Bill The report stage was continued, beginning with amendment 28A. The report stage was adjourned after amendment 69.
