1 Electoral register: young people A question was asked by Lord Roberts of Llandudno and answered by Lord Wallace of Saltaire.
2 Severn Barrage A question was asked by Lord Hylton and answered by Baroness Verma.
3 European Union: budget A question was asked by Lord McConnell of Glenscorrodale and answered by Baroness Northover.
4 Food: waste A question was asked by Lord Greaves and answered by Lord De Mauley.
5 Business of the House Lord Hill of Oareford moved that the debate on the motion in the name of Baroness Hollis of Heigham set down for today shall be limited to 3 hours and that in the name of Lord Smith of Leigh to 2 hours. The motion was agreed to.
6 Standing Orders (Public Business) Lord Hill of Oareford moved that the standing orders relating to public business be amended as follows:
Standing Order 73 (Joint Committee on Statutory Instruments)
In Standing Order 73(1), after "Human Rights Act 1998," leave out "and"; and after "Regulatory Reform Act 2001" insert ", any draft order laid under or by virtue of section 7 or section 19 of the Localism Act 2011, and any draft order laid under or by virtue of section 5E of the Fire and Rescue Services Act 2004".

7 Standing Orders (Public Business) The Standing Orders relating to public business were ordered to be reprinted. (HL Paper 105)
8 Companion to the Standing Orders The 23rd edition of the Companion to the Standing Orders and Guide to the Proceedings of the House of Lords was laid on the Table by the Clerk of the Parliaments.
9 Electoral Registration and Administration Bill Lord Wallace of Saltaire moved that the amendments for the Report stage be marshalled and considered in the following order:

10 Taxation: families (3-hour debate) Baroness Hollis of Heigham moved that this House takes note of the impact on families of changes to tax and benefits. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
11 Local Government: Finance Settlement (2-hour debate) Lord Smith of Leigh moved that this House takes note of the Local Government Finance Settlement. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
12 Unemployment A question was asked by Lord Chadlington and, after debate, answered by Baroness Stowell of Beeston.
13 Defamation Bill The bill was reported from the Grand Committee with amendments. The bill, as amended, was ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 75)
