The Journal is the formal and authoritative summary record of the proceedings of the House of Lords. Each Journal contains the attendance, minutes (including voting lists) and papers, along with some committee reports, for every day the House sat during a parliamentary session. Each sessional volume is indexed.

Papers not subject to Parliamentary Proceedings

The following papers were laid before the House:

1 Plan for 2012–13 of the Office of Fair Trading, laid under the Enterprise Act 2002.

2 Accounts for 2011 of the Government Annuities Investment Fund, laid under the Government Annuities Act 1929.

3 Report for the period 12 January 2011 to 11 January 2012 on the implementation of Law Commission proposals, laid under the Law Commissions Act 1965.

4 Return for 2011 of expenditure incurred and prosecutions taken under the Animal Health Act 1981 and incidences of disease in imported animals, laid under the Animal Health Act 1981.
